Person-Centered Thinking Training
Course Description
Participants will learn the foundations of the person-centered approach. With the passing of the CMS HCBS Final Rule providers must engage in person centered planning activities by 2022. This course teaches clinicians how to create a person-centered plan by looking through the lens of person-centered thinking.
Who Should Take this Course?
- Clinicians who work in settings that are residential;
- Provide services to the elderly;
- Treat adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities;
- Or work in facilities that receive Medicaid or Medicare waivers should enroll in this course.
Educational Goals
At the end of the course participants will learn and demonstrate 12 PCT skills, which will provide a foundation for creating person-centered treatment plans.

Training Options
We offer several options for individuals and organizations to complete PCT Training. Currently it is a live 12 hour course that can be completed in person at one of our events, at your place of business with a minimum of four participants, or during one of our online video conferencing events.
Company Sponsored Trainings
If you are interested in hosting a private training for your staff our trainers are available to travel throughout California and cost is based on distance, number of participants, and number of days at your place of business. We also have corporate CEU savings plans!
Online Training
Online training events are scheduled based on request. If you are interested in enrolling in our online training let us know! Online training events require a minimum of two participants and are scheduled based on the group and instructor availability. Hours are flexible and weekend training dates can accommodated.
To complete the training each participant must have:
- High speed internet access
- A web-camera with microphone
- A quiet place to complete the course
- Access to a pro
